Little Beethovens Music School is Reopening from Monday 7th September

WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE?

  • At Little Beethovens Music School we have installed hand sanitiser stations in both waiting areas. Students will
need to use these when entering and leaving the school
  • The teaching of each lesson will finish 5 minutes earlier to allow teachers to clean and wipe down piano keys/desks etc before the next student
  • Teachers will wash their hands regularly
  • Teachers will provide a good respiratory hygiene by using the ‘catch it, bin it, kill it approach.’ If a teacher or student doesn’t use a tissue they must cough/sneeze onto their sleeves, preferably using their elbow and wash their hands following the 20 second guidance
  • Teachers will follow the social distancing guidelines and keep a distance of at least 1 meter
  • Each classroom has been designed to help follow the social distancing guidelines

WAITING AREA

To help prevent the spreading of COVID-19 our waiting rooms will remain closed to parents, carers and members of the public.
We would ask all students to wait outside until your teacher comes to collect you. Please do not ring the doorbell.
If a student is under the age of 18 years old and can leave the school by themselves we would require a parental permission form signed. The parental permission forms can be collected from your teacher. We will not be able to let any student under the age of 18 years without one of these forms signed leave Little Beethovens Music School.

We understand how important it is for communication between teachers and parents/carers and as the waiting area is closed this will be difficult to maintain. To help teachers and students communicate we require every student to have a practise book and the teacher will write notes of what has happened in the lesson and what the student needs to practise for the following week.

PEVENTION

If the student feels well enough, they can have their lesson via Skype instead. We would require 48 hours notice to ensure the teacher is aware of any changes to the lesson.

If A Teacher Displays Any COVID-19 Symptoms

If a teacher displays any of the COVID-19 symptoms we would ask them to stay at home and follow the government guidelines.
If the teacher is well enough to teach the lesson, they will do this at home, online via Skype. Alternatively, another teacher will cover the lesson.
